DVI-D Pinout
The digital-only DVI connector carrying single- or dual-link TMDS video.
Overview
DVI-D is the digital-only variant of the DVI connector, omitting the analog (C1-C5) contacts found on DVI-I. The dual-link layout has 24 pins arranged in three rows of eight, carrying up to two TMDS links for high resolutions.
A single TMDS link uses data channels 0-2 plus a clock; dual-link adds data channels 3-5 on the center pins for bandwidth beyond 165 MHz. Single-link DVI-D physically omits pins 4, 5, 12, 13, 20, 21, and 22.
