RJ11 Pinout
Single-line telephone modular jack using the center contacts of a 6-position body.
Overview
RJ11 is the registered-jack standard for a single analog telephone line. It uses a 6-position modular connector but loads only the inner contacts, most commonly as 6P2C (one pair) or 6P4C (two pairs).
Line 1 rides on the two center contacts. In the USOC color scheme green is Tip and red is Ring. A second pair (yellow/black) in a 6P4C build can carry a second line or power for a lighted dial.
